Erika Huarcaya & Marc-John Brown

Erika Huarcaya is a Chanka-Quechua wisdom keeper, cacao guardian, and ceremonialist from the Andes of Apurímac, Peru. Born into an indigenous lineage of healers — her grandmother a traditional midwife who worked with ceremonial cacao — Erika carries ancestral knowledge of Andean and Amazonian plant medicine traditions as a living inheritance, not a studied discipline. She works in direct relationship with Q'ero and Shipibo-Konibo wisdom keepers, facilitating ceremony and teaching with a commitment to cultural integrity, indigenous sovereignty, and the principle of Ayni — sacred reciprocity.

Marc-John Brown is a Scottish-born cultural bridge-builder, coach, mentor, and co-director of Native Wisdom Hub. Drawing on years of immersive learning alongside Erika and indigenous teachers from Peru and beyond, Marc-John's role is not to hold the lineage but to help translate its relevance for modern audiences — with clarity, humility, and deep respect for its origins.

Together, they co-founded Native Wisdom Hub, a Scottish social enterprise dedicated to ethical exchange between indigenous wisdom traditions and modern seekers. Their work spans immersive retreats in Peru's Sacred Valley, cacao ceremonial leadership training, and guided master plant programmes — all rooted in the principle that transformation and reciprocity belong together.

They are based between Scotland and Peru, and they work internationally.
